I think bad.

I'm currently reading East of Eden. It's absolutely fantastic! The only other Steinbeck novel I've ever read was Mice and Men, which while I thought it was good, I didn't really care that much for either of the main characters. This book however is full of great characters. I love Cal Trask and Sam Hamilton is brilliant.
Anyway, I made this image based around the first time we're introduced to Adam Trask's sons, Cal and Aaron. (Page 335 I think)
At first I wasn't too fond of Cal. He manipulates his brother, who is made out to be a lovely, warm, young boy and he's a bit sneaky too, though I think he just wants to be loved how everyone loves his brother, he just doesn't have that instant likability that Aaron has.
The more I read about Cal, the more I like him. Maybe I see a bit of myself in him? Maybe.

I think I may do a series of images from my favourite moments in the book, for sure. Also, I love the Hue selection tool on Photoshop! This image was originally sepia until I messed around a bit and got these lovely, warm oranges. Great!
